Cherrise Bryan is running for District 6 School Board Member to bring practical leadership, responsible decision-making, and a strong commitment to the people of the Jackson Parish School District.  She believes every student deserves access to a high-quality education that promotes continuous growth and leads to proficiency in every subject, including science, social studies, mathematics, and English Language Arts.

As a retired educator with 24 years of service in Jackson Parish Schools, her experience as an elementary and junior high teacher and later becoming an Instructional Coordinator has given her a deep understanding of what it takes to support student achievement, strengthen teachers, and make informed decisions that place the needs of students first.

Why Cherrise Bryan Is Running

I am running for District 6 School Board Member to help create schools where every child feels safe, valued, and prepared for success. Strong schools require strong leadership, responsible financial stewardship, and a commitment to academic excellence. This campaign is about promoting transparency, accountability, and open communication so that families and community members have confidence in the decisions being made on their behalf.

If elected, I will focus on:

  • Working with all constituents to address challenges and build on strengths
  • Advocating for policies that support student achievement
  • Attracting and retaining outstanding educators
  • Providing opportunities that prepare students for life, college, or careers
  • Making decisions according to what is best for our children and their future
